Can a company prevent rehire

Had to leave Amazon after being there for several years due to a bad manager who put me on PIP. I found later that I cannot rejoin Amazon. Is it legal? It's been several years now. But I just feel bad that because I didn't persist then a big door is shut off for me forever. Any suggestions or recourse

Why wouldn't it be legal? Employment is at will.

Seems like a form of discrimination

It's as much discrimination as firing someone for poor performance is

You are fucked. I have been blacklisted in 2014 and even when a recruiter reaches out, as soon as I tell them I have been an employee they all ghost me. Amazon blacklist is pretty serious.

OP, how did you know that you are blacklisted? Can recruiters check this?

Yes a company is unlikely to rehire a terminated employee. At EY it was policy not to. Why would you want to work for a company that you didn’t excel at? Find another -

Your blacklisted but impossible to prove as HR will never give you a reason!
