a colleague made this racist comment here at Intuit a few weeks ago and he is still around.
Talk to HR. If they don’t take action that’s fine but at least you tried. Racist morons have no place in this country.
WTF is going on at Intuit? Isn’t screwing over tax filers enough?
Lmao!
I think people should not mind all these statements in general These happen and no one can stop it I as a think everyone holds a opinion and one can't change it easily. Just accept and move on
I disagree. Imagine this person is a manager and ends up with an Indian IC under him/her. Do you think the treatment would be fair and unbiased? Racism has no place in a workspace.
Racism isn’t an opinion.
Kinda goes against the whole “Prison Reform” that progressives say they support.
Racism is a basically a criminal intent. As long as that intent is gone, you can have a job. But you can’t be racist and keep a job, because that brings harm to coworkers. Well, openly racist. No one can read your mind...
Nothing to be done here.
Anything other than making sure the person who said it knows it was wrong is a bad first step. Pull them aside 1 on 1 and let them know! Going to HR first is not the first step in this case. Give the person a chance to fix it and not do it again.
Maybe he was just watching some Pune porn.
Wtf is that?
Porn made in Pune would feature fucking Indians
Guys start carrying Guns and Knives 🔪!! No one talks shit about Russians !!
Racism as any other sort of bias reduces your affectiveness like it or not. It's toxic to culture and that makes the best contributors leave.

Personally I believe in second chances. If he’s otherwise in good standing, owns his mistake, and is taking actions to understand and make amends for the hurt he has caused. But it would be a final written warning.
