Can a software engineer use Linux in Microsoft?

I am wondering if employees can choose to use Linux, assuming they do not work on .net stack. TC: 350#

Noone stops from using other OS. Lots of PM carry MacBook as well. Just get your work done.

Just depends on the technology you’re working with. I use Mac and Linux 95% of the time, and only spin up a Windows VM when I need it. You can even develop modern .net on Mac and Linux now, depending on the version. There are currently some restrictions around AAD authentication from Linux though, but those are being fixed soon.

Depends on org it's been a source of frustration for me. Some orgs it's discouraged and very difficult. The pilot fish anp environments do not have any options.
