Blinds shit on Amazon 24/7, but guess who is leading the most advance AI company, Open AI, from now on? Yes, a veteran Amazon exec. 🤯Let that sink it. #amazon #openai
It wouldn’t surprise me. Amazon’s culture is being replicated en masse, and has practically contaminated every tech company with stack ranking and weaponized PIPs. The end result from of all of this nonsense is a worse environment for tech workers as a whole, where every company becomes as terrible as Amazon with its workers. TC: 105K
Full circle. Microsoft had it way back and slowly transitioned away. Amazon took it to the next level by systemizing processes to continuously “raise the bar”. I understand it. I just don’t like it.
Welp, OpenAI culture is ruined Amazonians kill everything
Amazon will be soon Earth’s best employer by infiltrating into other companies and planting their toxic culture.
RTO firing in 1 week and then only any other discussions.
Is he really an Amazon exec? He founded / ran a company that was acquired by Amazon and ran largely independent. It's like saying that Tony Hsieh was an Amazon exec.
How long was he there? I saw some said 9 years. He surly had to work with other Amazon VPs and follow what Andy Jassy had him do, Twitch was not a separate entity, it actually merged fairly deeply with Amazon.
It operated fairly independently until a couple years ago. The Twitch culture was quite different and "non-Amazonian"...sure there was / is some accountability but he's a far cry from someone like Andy or Dave Limp who rose through the ranks at Amazon and espousing Amazon culture.
