I am with 1+ YOE in software development from India. I improved my resume a lot by using various AI review sites. But Still, my resume didn't pass ATS. Rejected by Google for the L3 role though I applied via referral and many other companies. #tech #resume #softwareengineer #engineering #software #swe
Can def leave out class 10 and 12
Also, sometimes 1 yoe is not considered for bigger companies. Unfortunately, It takes time.
No one learns/does this much in 1 year. Be realistic, honest and brag in more constructive way(every item in your exp should have some numbers. Merge those which dont have numbers). Remove 10/12 or dont waste real estate there. Bring technical skills in 3 lines. If ranking is not in top 5% Remove it, else mention it.. If github doesn't have interesting projects, Remove it. Remove overview/role from project. Just mention what project did and what you did in 1-3 lines. Dont write stuff like(by optimizing java code). All in all, its fairly bad resume for someone who has good enough eye for resume. I think, its very easy to make your resume a half page resume and that too not a very good one.
Thanks a ton 🙏 Tbh, I did those numbers as I am working on 2 support projects and these tasks are prioritised for me. I will make it concise and neat. But how do 1 year of experience people get into FAANG or other companies, they don't have much technical experience right !
Get a referral and once you get it, reach out to few recruiters saying that you have referral. Unless you are a CS graduate from tier one college or have great coding achievements, you won't get a call. Also, try to build 1-2 projects in react/ android(any course in these topics can be completed in 15-20 days and in the end you will have a project in your resume). Don't force yourself to make a one page resume( or u can add summary section to increase its length). Also, this is a bad timing for fresh graduates so don't be over optimistic.
Maybe add an “objective” section that you customize a bit for each job you apply for? I kind of need to piece together a story by reading through a bunch of random experiences you have. The objective can tie it alll together for me.
Not about the content. You are wasting space in the education session. Not good
Do you mean should I show only the bachelor's degree ?
yea
