Can't break into quant finance, give up?

Currently I'm a developer at a small company, this is an old account. My current company is toxic and I would love to leave asap. I've been trying to break into quant finance as a developer for about a year now. But unfortunately, early on I was naïve thinking I was ready to interview when I wasn't. I'm way more prepared now compared to then but already applied to a lot of companies so I can't apply there again for awhile. Had many auto rejections, I'm thinking it's cause of my years of experience and it being a tough job market right now. Currently I'm in a part time CS masters program so I'm thinking I can wait till the fall and apply for some new grad positions or maybe I should start to look at different industries to leave my company asap. Any advice would be appreciated! YOE: 2.5 TC: 130k

You can make a lot more money in swe if you switch companies, I have new grad friends making 200k+ - but if you do want to do quant I’d stay practice questions alot, quantessential.io is good for this bc they have company specific playlists - either way try waiting out the job market before giving up
