I have upcoming interviews at LinkedIn, Google and Lyft, and I have interviewed at Disney/DoorDash/Beyond Meat and a bunch of fast growing start ups. Recruiters at Meta and Amazon have reached out many times over the years. I’m in the final interviewing stages at a few places that are a warm up for Google/Lyft/LinkedIn interviews. I have a PhD in STEM from top university in the USA and 5 years of data science experience (ds, ds lead, ds manager), and previously worked at Tesla. But for the life of me, Uber won’t give me a single interview, even after a referral from someone on Blind?? (Thank you to the person who gave me a referral!!) What’s going on?? Does Uber have something specific they are looking for on data science resumes?
They’re probably just not hiring so aggressively right now. And they probably don’t need to. I often wonder how I can get such interest from great companies and never be approached by Apple. Smells fishy.
Yeah it’s just odd
Haha who cares about uber if you've got interviews from google, meta, etc.
We shall see about Meta - just applied
It's more likely Uber is not a data intelligence driven business. Think about it.
DM for DoorDash
I appreciate it but I already applied and fucked the product sense interview - the case study caught me off guard. Now I’m super prepared tho for similar questions product-sense upcoming questions at Google/Lyft/LinkedIn
