Currently, I am a senior TPM at a startup; TC 145K with 16K equity. I was recently offered 170K TC at Capgemini, but my title would be Project Manager (C2). In short, should I take the money or keep the title of Sr TPM? I know how hard it is to climb because I worked at Cognizant for years with incremental raises, but zero promotions. 16 years of experience, 9 in the TPM role.
I'd pass, only because you've already dealt with them in the past and presumably delayed your growth as a result.
Bruh you have 16 yoe, why are you messing around with garbage companies like cognizant and capgemini you're being very underpaid for your worth
which city did you get this offer in ?
Greater Chicagoland
Project Manager is at the bottom of the “PM” chain, might be hard to work back to Program Manager or Product Manager. I think the title matters in this case.
Take CapGemini. It’ll more than likely be more secure than a startup right now. My friend works for Cap and loves it, they also have frequent promo cycles. She’s just gotten promoted and it’s only been a year.
