I was reached out to by a recruiter and have an upcoming interview at C1. I was wondering if 3 yoe is sufficient for the Senior software engineer role. Also, would I be able to negotiate remote?
I can't think of a more disgusting company to work for, and to be client of. Absolute sharks.

I got senior with 4 YOE. But I also was promoted to senior at my previous job so the bar was already set for me. They have totally done a 180 on remote friendly. I got hired remote and am now worried they’re going to change that in the near future with how little they’ve cared about employee happiness the past year. Combine that with the extreme ramp up in performance layoffs and it’s difficult for me to encourage someone joining. Literally mid year reviews get done and you have 3 months to deliver for EOY reviews. It’s a nightmare for average pay. If it’s your last resort go for it though.
I would be very surprised if someone with 3 YOE can negotiate remote at this point. Lots of people with a lot more experience getting rejected with remote requests. Seems like unless you are VP+ you won't get remote since RTO started.
I would use them as offer leverage and join any other company 1. Pip up your bum quick 2. Your nuts 🥜 squeezed in death grip 3. 3 yoe , unless you are truly talented, isn’t senior. It’s a company scam to give you title bump with mid level tc 🥜 4. Company is creepy 5. What others have said
3 YOE (all covid years too) seems low to get PA (senior SWE). You’ll probably only make like 8% less being a regular SA and the stack ranking will be much less daunting lol

Yes, 3 is fine. Remote would be difficult. Also be careful. Capital one has ramped up pip. You may have to find another job faster than you think if you join
