Power day next week, I am wondering the what to expect in the upcoming 5 interviews. Not much info available for Data Engineering ones. Recruiter has mentioned 2 tech rounds, 1 behavior, 1 leadership, 1 case studies. Appreciate if someone can speak on these tech rounds. Are these live coding or conversational? I guess these are common w/ DE ICs too. Any insight will help in the prep. Blind tax: $370 #capitalone #cap1 #dataengineerinterview #faang
Are they gonna pay you more than 370k ?? Did you check with hr before starting loop
Wayfair is having problems so I can understand wanting to get out of there, even for a lower TC.
W is a sinking ship as the real profitability has always been elusive unless the conditions are favorable at par with pandemic. Might survive to dodge chapter 11 but the journey going to be rough for a while
Not exactly addressing your question, but context you should have about C1. As a heads up, they do stacked rank evaluations. Current schedule is hybrid, WFH Monday and Friday, and they’re counting badge swipes Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and sending out warning letters if you don’t get enough. I can’t know for certain, but this definitely feels like a ramp up to requiring 5 days a week in office. Tech interviews will be live coding. They’ll ask you what language you’re most comfortable in and ask you to work in that.
Apparently this RTO push is everywhere. Interesting the hiring process has too much emphasis on coding for EM, Data roles! How are these problems going to be different from the ones asked in Codesignal assessment? I am thinking on the type of prep needed. Also how are the design and case interviews for data eng? Any sample questions?
Don't join C1 as a data engineer. Join as ML engineer or software engineer.
Aside from behavioral, you’ll have a system design and case study. The case is walking through a section of code to explain what it does and any mods directed by the reviewer. System design is your typical “how to build a cloud app” but may focus on pipelines for data centric.
Some posts indicate the tech round is a live coding. Is it similar to the codesignal assessment or leetcode type? Ex finding efficient algorithms
