Asking for a friend because she doesn’t have a TeamBlind Account. She graduated college May 2021 and has accepted a job to work at Capital One starting from August 2021. The current date to return to office is September 7th 2021 but she received this link in an email below from the recruiter: https://www.capitalone.com/about/newsroom/hybrid-work/ Will my friend be permanently allowed to work remotely because she isn’t vaccinated AND is far from her office location??
Can you wfh in c1 while visiting family internationally? Something I asked the recruiter and didn’t get an answer.
Only in US & UK. but if you want exception, you might want to check with your team
Officially it's not allowed. But I believe there are a few ppl travelling and working. Cyber def knows.
Our policy is hybrid i believe. Confirmed two weeks ago. Wfh monday and friday. In office tues, wed, th. You can apply for permanent wfh but that’s up to the manager. I have not heard of cost of living adjustments.
It says office open t-th, but no minimum required days. How are c1 employees interpreting that?
At the end of the day, it’s up to your direct manager…I don’t think they can “force” you to come in as of now, but certainly it would strain your relationship if you’re both not on the same page and that could become an issue with performance management and stuff later on of course
Each line of business can make their own decision on WFH policy (ie, Card Tech could be different than Financial Services). Basically, your friend won't know about it until after they join because TDP don't have any input on team selection. Whether they are far from the office is very unlikely to play any role in the decision.
Can you guess which way design is headed? I have a year to relocate, but wondering if this new policy means I can work in the office 1 week/month without relocating. I wonder if they would fire me if I ultimately didn’t relocate (after doing the job for a year…)
I'd talk to your manager. My lead said he understands some people moved far from the office and is supportive of those who'd like to stay remote. That being said, he still has to get VP approval.
Are you a TDP?
My friend wants to know what are the odds of her future manager approving WFH permanently taking into consideration how she isn’t vaccinated and is in New Jersey which is extremely far from Texas.
Are you a TDP??
Nice policy, but it doesn't mention the exceptions you imply that it has.
