Cleared Capital One onsite loop and expecting an offer soon for the senior manager role. What is the average bonus and stock grant? Are those a percentage of base salary or are those fixed numbers? #engineering #software #capitalone
The base would depend on location, the one mentioned above looks like NoVa, it less if it’s Richmond an more if it’s NYC or California
I'm in a HCOL, but the hiring director and team were in nova, so I'm guessing they just didn't want to give me market rate to be fair to other team members 🤷♂️ It seems weird that that would matter for a totally remote role. Do you think it's worth going through team match again and target only HCOL teams? It seemed like I was really at the mercy of my recruiter and which roles they wanted to show me after my on-site.
No normally would depend on your zip code. If you are not close to our SFO office it is than less
They don't give stock. Haven't you discussed this with ur recruiter?
Incorrect
We do give stocks for SR Manager an above
Only for SF? Or all locations?
All, I just responded the LTI are Stocks
The lti listed above is the stock, it's RSUs with a three year vesting schedule. You get a grant each year and it's a set amount based on you level and performance rating.
Try not to join as SM. It’s an inflated title for a tech lead. The promo to Director is very very difficult and not worth the time and effort. You are better off sticking with your current job and reapply in a couple of months(if you are desperate to join C1). Nothing wrong with the company in general, good pay, good WLB. Most of the time you call the shots and good internal mobility.
I have seen people getting promoted to Directors from Sr Manager in 2 years. Why do you say it's difficult and not worth it?
What's your current TC? The offer I just got from them for "senior manager" was: ~$220 base ~$20k bonus (+-$20k depending on performance) ~$30k LTI bonus (+-$30k depending on performance) I was told by the recruiter that they do not give out stock, but I've heard from some employees that they do so I have no idea what's going on there. Unfortunately that didn't even come close to my current pay, much less give me anymore so I had to turn them down.
Thanks, my current is ~230.
LTI are stocks and have 3 year vesting in capital one. You don’t get them up front but at end of the year cycle with bonus. Did the recruiter not explain them
