Is it like firing scrum masters or is it something that only applies to CapOne?
Yup, basically fired all the scrum masters
That's a great productivity hack
If cap one is firing.. that means even the banks aren't safe?
While there’s a cost savings here… I think this is more a strategic move to end a floundering job family in exchange for following what other “tech industry leaders” have already done
banks were never “safe”. I have no idea what makes you think they were ever safe. Goldman Sachs had lay offs recently too. Tech and finance lead the pack in terms of lay-offs with every recession. consumer staples like CMB and KHC generally perform better during these market conditions.
Yes. Scrum masters. All people at all levels in the job family.
Who’s gonna do their jobs?
Team leads or other engineers on the team. You don’t need scrum masters to talk to other people and move Jira tickets around on a board
You can have product/project/program folks do scrum work
Yup, in most of the cases, scrum master is not a full time job
If you have scrum master as a FT position in tech then you are doing something terribly wrong..
Guess you could say they werent..agile enough! Oh way too soon I know.
🙄
Lemme know if you got impacted or know anyone impacted @kypo, joking aside I've built an entire pipeline to help the people impacted. Let me know if you need it.
Idk if I believe this one. I haven’t heard this yet. What is your level of certainty?
100% I have spoken to a few Scrum masters already. They also locked all of them out of slack/email.
This is 100% true
They had a lot of remote and part time openings at 1 point.
I thought they r hiring? What about jpm, safe still?
Engineering is and should be fine
What’s agility role?
99 agility for the shortcuts
You run laps at ape toll
