Car accident / lawyer / insurance ?

Got into a car accident and the other party was drunk driving so it was his mistake, happened a year ago and the claims are paying for lost hardware and the car and other stuff but should I consider consulting an accident lawyer ? Does the 30% fee to him makes me get a bigger compensation ??

A year ago? Me thinks you waited too long...

What you’re asking isnt clear. Were you injured? Did their insurance repair your car? Did you lose work days (unpaid)? Driving drunk isn’t an additional factor besides establishing the responsible party.

Were those days unpaid? Payment for these are clear. It’s based on what you actually lost wage wise. Grievous bodily harm is where the money is. Actuaries have to be make the initial determinations. Losing body parts is big money. Pain and suffering is not that lucrative.
