Hi All! I recently got promoted to Manager after 3.5 years at EY. Since last year I am feeling stuck at work, and want to make a move. My reasons being - screwed work-life balance, lack of motivation as the work has become monotonous, and feel like really need a change from the people and work. Got an interview at Facebook for a Program Manager role, but I believe it might be a down level from what I am working at EY. Also reading through Blind posts makes me think that WLB at Facebook is also not great. Did anyone recently transition from Big4 to FAANG for a Program Manager role? How did you like it? Pros and Cons. TOE - 5.5 years TC (Manager): $150k Thanks for all your help! #consulting #career #faang #programmanager #facebook #ey #worklifebalance #google #amazon #microsoft #tech
Manager at EY to Program Manager at FB. If anything, it will be an up level.
Yea it’s basically impossible for you to not make a lot more money at Facebook. Facebook and Amazon will have similar churn and burn culture to EY. But sounds like you’ll be the one PIPing folks so that’s good for you at least.
Manager at EY is an IC. In fact a Director is an IC too
What the heck do they call actual managers?
All report to MD/Partner
What level do EY managers can apply at facebook? IC6 or IC5
IC5

Everything seems great with this guy, except basic attraction. What to do? My friends say it’s no big deal
It’s all about the TC.
