Career advice: switch career form Software to VC firm
Hi, I am a software engineer (full stack) and would like to switch career to a venture capital fund as a Data scientist. However, I do not find job listings anywhere at VC funds. Any advice how to approach this? #ib #analyst #interview #vc

Would recommend you start reaching out to individuals on LinkedIn who currently have the role you are looking for. They will have the best context on how to make the jump

I would think either LinkedIn could be helpful or reaching out to alumni from your university to see if they have any contacts.
I have no idea what I’m talking about but I did get asked by Goldman Sachs if I wanted to take an optional math/stats section of the interview to see if I’m eligible to be on the quant side. That might be a job you can do and then have more to bring to the table to work at a selective VC.
