Career after Microsoft

[Re-posting outside of Microsoft channel to target the right folks] Hey Ex-Microsoft employees, Where did you go after Microsoft? How did your career trajectory change after leaving Microsoft?, did it change for good or did it get worse? (including pay, work quality, learning, culture, tooling etc.) I’m looking to change this year, the case for doing so seems clear on the pay front but I just wanted to get an outsider’s perspective. #microsoft #career #google #amazon #meta #facebook #twitter #linkedin #engineering

It would be hard to get worse at pay.

Pay gets better, wlb gets worse. Quality of work might change depending on the team you were at and the company you go to.

Just started with Amazon, pay is great! Work wise okay. And process and tools are far better at Amazon. But wlb and oncall are little hectic

Can u compare WLB . Like 6hours - 9!hours or like 7-7.30 ?

Microsoft MS -> A2Z Feb 7, 2022

Not yet deeply involved, but guess 30% more than what I was doing at MS

Left to Adobe. Got a raise and signing bonus. I like the culture and WLB better. Rewards keep coming. Stock has boomed since I joined.
