Hi, can some Palantirians or former Palantirians shed light on the the prospect of career growth at Palantir? I know the pride themselves sof a flat hierarchy but I would like more light on growth prospects... Thank you
Promos are bullshit at every company I've worked at. Yet people still seem to eat up the lies of the ever illusive "flat hierarchy"
It's just hearsay, but I've heard a "shadow hierarchy" still exists, but its not codified.
What does that mean? Can you elaborate?
Ahh I dont know any more details, really. I think it might just be a way to say that domain expertise and product knowledge exists. But this is all second hand, too.
Tons of opportunity to learn and do what you want, so it’s great in that respect. Lots of ownership opportunities for important projects that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. The only bad thing is that after the first year or two pay growth is really really lacking, and you will quickly fall behind what you could earn at other top companies
Hi, what do you mean falls behind? There is no abbiam adjustment or just no promotions? What is the difference between palantir and other companies or that respect?
I mean very little in the way of raises and bonuses. Also because of the flat hierarchy promotions are kind of undefined, so that’s not a path for comp growth either
Does Palantir outsource or offshore any swe work to india?
Considering Palantir for new grad, and everyone that I've talked to has hinted that compensation growth basically doesn't exist. If you're a top performer, possibly.
Tbf, id be surprised if compensation growth continues at other FAANG like companies in the next couple years...

Lol dw, it's just the mandatory knee jerk negative response for whenever palantir gets mentioned.
