Hey, It seems the cuts are going to continue through 2023. I am not working in a very essential team, and it is likely that I will be on the list. I am thinking of shifting to AI (I really like the new development). Also it seems companies keep saying they will continue investing in AI (e.g. Zuck's letter). For those who are shifting as well. Wondering what is your strategy? I appreciate any tips. Also anyone is interested in forming a Slack channel? thanks. TC 320
It is amusing. Coding is a low skill job. Doing AI, quantitative analysis, and financial engineering require math skills. Coding is a tool everyone is expected to know.
I agree with AI math requirements being advanced. But I worked as SWE and that can also be quite complicated. Not that LC is representative of our work, but you can see the type of problem solving SWEs need.
Yes. I'd like to join slack channel and learn + work in AI
