Hi Everyone- I am severely underemployed, I’m in my current job in retail operations because at the time it provided great flexibility during the pandemic with a special needs child at home with no in-person school option. Now that things are somewhat back to normal- physical and occupational Therapies cost an insane amount of money and my current job cannot sustain us. I have 10 years experience in Physical products- designing handbags and footwear from concept to product- managing multiple products through out its entire lifecycle. I’ve worked at many small businesses and start ups where I had to wear multiple hats and have experience in sales, production, e-commerce market research and UX Design. I’m familiar with Agile/Scrum. I have skills in SQL, Salesforce, Oracle, Tableau, adobe CC, Figma, Microsoft office and sketch to name a few. For extra money I’m a product developer at a startup that creates clothing for people with disabilities. I’m looking for a switch to Product Management, I have many transferrable skills, just looking to get my foot in the door, any tips? Or advice? Any companies you’d recommend? Any resources available to gain more skills that may be relevant is greatly appreciated. If I were to land a job offer *fingers crossed* what salary range should I be looking for ? #pm #productmanager #product #productmanagment Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you definitely have relateable experience. Make sure to have a great PM focused resume and mock interview. You want to highlight and talk about all your PM- like experience on your resume and in the interview. It'll always be tough landing your first PM role. Don't go in expecting competitive high TC (maybe it can happen). You can check salaries of the companies you hear back from via glassdoor and levelsfyi
