Background: I've been at AWS for over a year now as a level 5 BIE, and am starting to think about what skills I should be developing for my next role. I'm very passionate about process automation and love designing and deploying pipelines and data flows so I've always thought I'd move into a Data Engineer position, but lately I've been very curious about sales/cloud/customer engineer and SA positions. Part of me misses the direct customer interaction I had previously when I was a data analytics consultant, so a sales/customer facing role might scratch that itch so to speak. However, I also have a 7-month old daughter so I don't want to burn out or stress out if that's how the culture/positions are. If you're a customer/sales/cloud engineer or SA, can you walk me through your typical day/week? More specifically, how much of your time is spent traveling, meeting with customers, coding, planning, developing, whiteboarding, etc. I don't have a lot of information at this point so anything will be helpful. Appreciate it! andddd of course tc or gtfo - $140K #customerengineer #salesengineer #solutionsarchitect #sales #tech #data #engineering
