Read that cellphone tower companies are doing well... Anyone here work for crown castle or American tower? How is it over there? What’s 💰 like? https://www.wsj.com/articles/cellphone-tower-companies-race-higher-11563192000?mod=mhp
Fake news.
Tower climbers in NC making $30’s per hour. AT&T is the only company whose own employees climb. A very scarce title called Wireless Technician. Under the mobility contract, they are the highest grade at $43/hr in the lowest CoL areas.
Crown Castle has been a fantastic company since I started two years ago. I am for the fiber side now but started with the small cell group. Pay is on the high side of competitive and the benefits are excellent. The CEO, Jay Brown, is a super down to earth guy that cares about the employees. He visited our regional location and took time to speak with everyone in the building. Would wholeheartedly recommend it anyone.
Are you guys gonna beat AMT in the 5G race lol?
Ditto. Compensation and benefits are great. Plus 10% dollar for dollar match on 401k
Crown just laid off 57 people
It was more like ~400 total. Thelayoff.com says more to come in q1 2021.
It's always disconcerting when a company has layoffs. That said, every single person I knew that was laid off was dead weight except one director who was close to retirement. I suspect his layoff may have been voluntary.
That logo is heresy
Haha what if it said MCI
