lululemon: be human, be well, be planet

I wish these were all true. It’s a marketing stunt that senior leaders would love to believe they’re following. They post about loving their store travels around the world in their internal newsletters. If I was paid millions, paid to travel on business class, all expenses paid, no issues with parking when I come to work, no issues with taking care of my family…give me a break. Be human? You senior leaders are out of touch with the actual work force. You aim to please your board of directors so you can get your millions of bonus every year at the cost of our hard work. Be well? Your internal pulse survey results speak for themselves. Your employees do not trust the senior leadership any longer. Keep on believing we respect you. Be planet? Travelling around the world as if we aren’t doing enough damage to the planet by greenwashing our fabric innovation? Making everyone come back to work because your board of directors need to revitalize their commercial real estate. Because you don’t trust your workers to be productive despite the business flourishing throughout the pandemic years. No travels were involved. Keep repeating your vision to the world so they can believe your lies the way you senior leaders do. Enjoy your bonuses and your personal office space. We’re fine right here in our crammed spaces, off site parking, and families we don’t need to take care of. Until you experience what we experience, you’ll never know what it truly means to be human, be well, and be for the planet. #lululemon #behuman #bewell #beplanet #bereal

Competition Bureau investigates lululemon’s greenwashing. Leaders are congregating all the way in Las Vegas. Stock is sliding way down. CEO and the executives are still paid millions a year despite the Mirror $500M acquisition mis-step. And they still believe the cure is to make everyone regardless of role to come back to the office so we can all continue to destroy the planet and look the other way with our archaic office policy and pretend-feel good tag line for the world. Be human? Be well? Be planet? Be real! You’re all over-paid executives that are out of touch with your employees. You know us? The actual people who work hard for the company.
