I used to think that too but how would that work with Google's Uber ownership (both their initial investment and the equity they got from the Waymo trial)? Does antitrust come into play or is ride sharing too nascent of an industry to be regulated in that fashion?

Likelihood? 100%. I personally think it will happen in the next 18 months or 3 months before uber’s whichever comes first
