Change tires and brake pads

What's the best and cheap way to change tires and brake pads? I own a bmw 3 series and bmw service center is a rip off. Any phone apps or good auto body shops in Seattle area?

Sell your BMW and let the new owner figure it out, and enjoy a brand new Hyundai Tucson.

Best and cheapest way to change tires is Les Schwab (Discount Tire sucks). Cheapest brake job is DIY, next is a reliable indie shop eg Strictly BMW, Eastside Bavarian ... “never” go to dealer for a brake job ... it will cost you double at least

Thanks buddy. I talked to led schwab and strictly bmw. It worked out.

Discount Tire for tires. They probably can do the breaks as well. Or Morgan Motors for breaks and DT for tires.

Facebook Zacks Nov 15, 2018

Scroll up. The person right above said Discount Tire sucks.

Salesforce Lorry Rage Nov 15, 2018

So? Maybe that person sucks. I had good experience with Discount Tire and Les Schlong's quoted price was significantly higher.

Buy tires online and install them locally. Will save tons of money. For brakes go through a certified German auto shop. Will cost a fraction of bmw dealership.

Salesforce Lorry Rage Nov 15, 2018

Buying online trick worked 10 or so years ago, now companies add extra surcharges for tires customer brings in plus may refuse to give any warranty on work or free rotation. Also Discount Tite will price match Tirerack's prices. So there is that. One can always try Costco or Sam's club for tires replacement but typically what they have are rather average tires.

Haven’t heard of anyone with surcharge for online tires. They still want your business. Super common approach.

Break my wallet! That’s what happens when you own a BMW.

So what? I don't want to die in debt and have my ass owned by others.

Citibank Timeoh Nov 17, 2018

Then don’t buy a bmw and complain about the cost of maintenance. Buy a civic if you don’t want to die in debt and have your ass owned by others.

Find a Vietnamese mechanic, they are usually as cheap as it gets. Ask for your old parts back so you know they have done the work.

Juniper Nishit Nov 21, 2018

Are there Chinese mechanics that also do this?

Amazon 多撚餘 Nov 21, 2018

Fewer Chinese than Vietnamese these days.
