Changing jobs while STEM OPT pending
I applied for STEM extension on May 25th (application received). I am yet to receive the new EAD. I don’t expect it before August seeing how slow applications are moving this year. Can I change my job while the application processing? How does it differ from changing jobs after getting new EAD?
You can. Also, check with your dso for the specific instructions. I changed my employers while my STEM was pending.
Which year did you do that? Did you get RFE?
Did you get an rfe? And was the new employer okay to hire you on i797c receipt knowing that you dint have the EAD card in hand yet?
