If you have both, which one is more beneficial? Some say that Chase points can be transferred to Hyatt and is better. But is it worth 550$ annual fee while Capital one compares at 395$ annual fee
Chase Sapphire reserved but wait for 80k points intro offer. Amex platinum isn't worth it if you don't actually use the benefits like equinox discount etc. Look into Amex platinum to see whether the benefits it has are actually worth it for you. If so then it's great but if not then it's very expensive annual fee for no reason.
Reserve comes with $300 of travel credit per year and $5 per month of DoorDash credits but not much other free money. That makes the Reserve’s fee essentially $250. Venture X has great mileage earning and is basically free money for the taking because of the $300 travel credit per year plus 10,000 miles they send you at the end of the year. If you really need Priority Pass restaurant access, a slightly better set of transfer partners, or you’d prefer to book travel with cash at 1.5 cents per point, go with the Reserve. Otherwise the Venture X should be good enough.
Reserve is $300 travel credit per calendar year. So if you use $300 in 2023 and $300 in 2024 then downgrade to Slate or another free chase product before paying the annual fee the second year, just the travel credit makes up the fee. Then if you can get an 80k points intro offer, that's about 1k in travel. However, I wouldn't pay the annual fee twice. You also get global entry, pre check if you don't already have ur, which are also good for multiple years. So it's good to sign up and get the benefits from reserve for one year then downgrade.
What is Priority Pass restaurant access?
Venture X all the way. If u take advantage of the pre check, $300 yearly credit and $100 anniversary credit, it’s kinda a no brainer. I think u get more value getting the Freedom flex / unlimited and Sapphire preferred for $99 to max points but Capital one has better benefits.
Why is Amex platinum rated so low? I don't think any other card offers global lounge access as much as Amex does
Because of its absurd 695 price. Also a lot of the benefits ppl don’t use
ok but it’s not $695 for msft ppl
I have CSP. Upgrade to CSR won’t get me any welcome bonus. Should i go for CSP or capital one venture x. Don’t like amex plat as i don’t use its benefits.
Keep CSP and add Venture X because it’s basically free money
DM if you need a venture x referral!
I have CSP and just got VX. I love the fact that they already give you enough $$ to offset the fee. Amex will not be in my book since i cant never utilize all of those unnecessary "credits". CSR is probably ok, but 60k sub and higher annual fee is not worth atm.
Pretty sure the annual fee isn't that for Chase Sapphire reserve - it's 95 bucks
95 is for preferred and not for reserved
Ah, you right 👍
