Was looking at Checkout's glassdoor reviews and saw that the CEO apparently said something like "if you don't like it, leave" regarding its push back to the office. Is there anyone working there (or worked there) that can verify this. Surely that must have shattered morale, right? #wfh #rto #remote #hybrid #fintech #startup #workfromhome
Employees are probably checked out now
Lol Jamie Dimon said the same one year ago forcing 3 day RTOs on Chase employees. Right now the job market is stagnant. Lowest attrition seen since 2000. Give it 6 months to a year, and once the job market gets better, all these employers will see sky high attrition rates.
I've been hearing "Give it a year they will hire again" for so long It's not based on any facts, just "hope" to go back to the good old days
@IKEA not sure where you've heard that, but we're coming off of a record attrition year - 2021. 2022 was pretty hot up until April. You can't expect employers to hire like crazy every year, nor do people change jobs every year. Median private sector tenure is 3.7 years in the US, tech is 2.5. so technically people should be ready for a change right about this time, but the market also needs to get better.
People forgot how things were before Covid. Employers are just returning to pre-covid practices.
He has said this multiple times, and also that the company plans to increase the mandatory number days in office to 4 days per week.
When has the 4 days been said, that will cause a lot more resignations most people are already fed up of the 3 days a week especially over the winter.
Yes, this is true, but he also promised they are not going to increase it further for a long time, at least until 2024 dec, and this was 6 months ago
He’s said it on multiple times, but that’s the least of their worries when it comes to morale
If you are thinking of joining please for the love of god Don't. You might think I can manage the RTO and will be able to perform decently to make my mark in the org. Slowly you will realise the management doesnt give a shit and looking for an excuse to fire people by strong arming. Absolutely shit culture. To answer your question Yes he did say that and I dont think he cares.
