I received an offer from Chewy for Software Engineer II (Boston location) Base 140k, Sign on 20k, RSU - 100k/4, Yearly Bonus - 10% of base Chewy has really bad reviews on Blind and Glassdoor. Can someone provide more insights if this would be a good option (work life balance is important for me) Current TC - 140k YOE - 3 #engineering #software #swe

Did you look at Blind rating for Chewy and how it compares to all other companies? Also, did you see what we, current employees who have been here for more 10 months, have written?
Well even if you like people who you interviewed with they may leave good people don’t last here , the only people that state are the abusive toxic management , since you care about WLB you will definitely hate it

It's not true that all the good people leave. There has been attrition for sure but plenty of good people are still around after many years. WLB has been bad in the past but is quite good for me and my team at the moment at least

Please run! There are better ways to earn a living rather than a working in a morally bankrupt place. The entire focus for the company is to prop up health care which is managed by the wife of the CEO. While he is dumping stock she is preparing her resume for a CEO position outside.

What is the interview like at Chewy?
Did you like the people you interviewed with and the team your joining? If so, go for it. That’s a good offer from Boston. You could negotiate this higher. The reviews have some truth to them. Some ppl have a bad experience but I’ve enjoyed my time at Chewy. We’re big enough that there the experience across orgs varies greatly.

Is it true? Though I know that recruiter will not hide the reality on numbers, but still $150 looks less As did not sound good to me, so we decided not to move. But curious to know
Sorry to hear that. Our offers all have room to negotiate. This sounds like a C05 job. Was there a sign on bonus or base and equity only?
