Chewy or Wayfair
I have an offer from Chewy and am in the process of getting one from Wayfair. Details below- Chewy - senior manager, non tech, Dania Beach, FL - TC 190k Wayfair - senior manager, non tech, Boston - don't know comp yet Wondering which one to go with, assuming similar compensation. I've heard bad things about Chewy culture, so I'm worried a little. I've heard bad things about Boston weather, so worried as well. Please let me know in your comments about your experience and recommendation. TC - 150k, YOE - 6 #chewy #wayfair

Both of these are a step down from Amazon. They're good for short term bump in TC, but not for long term growth.
Wayfair is a much better household name than Chewy… plus Florida
Wayfair is in Boston, chewy is in Florida
Chewy is in Boston, Florida, Minneapolis and Seattle.
Go for Wayfair, they’re culture is “give it a shot unless your fail” I know they’re really looking for people to bring ideas to the table to help them grow. A lot of Amazon employees (Amazonians???) left Amazon to come to Wayfair.

What did you end up doing? I’m interviewing at Chewy too for an Associate Director role
I went with Chewy and have been happy. I felt the growth opportunity was better. I heard good things about the vp I rolled up to. The domain I went into was mature at Wayfair compared to Chewy.
Curious, how do you know that you are in the process of getting an offer from Wayfair? How long after your final interview did Wayfair get back to you?

Chewy is a better opportunity for the business side but they don't have the right people to execute it. Wayfair is a mixed bag but if you're looking to chill you can have a decent WL balance. If you think you can handle the stress and pressure to deliver under shitty management, then Chewy is the right answer. The stock refreshers are no joke. Be prepared to burn out worse than Amazon tho.
