What would you do if you had an opportunity to pívot into a different role from Admin/EA in FAANG (big tech) to a start up ish company in construction industry as a Chief of staff working alongside CEO & COO. Company has been bought out and looking to innovate and want to take the company to the next level. I been an administrative professional for 13 years. Thoughts? Pay in the start up is not as good as traditional big companies of course #tech #chiefofstaff
CoS of course
Curious why?
Chief of Staff, if you align with the CEO and COO from a strategy / values standpoint.
I’ll make sure to ask these question when i meet with them next, i want to make sure we align in goals for the company/team
Being CoS for leaders you aren't aligned with suuuuucks. DM me if you want to brainstorm question ideas
COS for sure. Better bigger title for your career path and you’ll be exposed to the whole business giving you more visibility to find a role you can go into eventually.
Personally I’d rather be an EA over a COS as I value work life balance lol

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
If you are looking for upward mobility, definitely chief of staff. More breadth of experience, especially in start up. If you are happy as an AP, stick with your solid salary
Yup i am, the EA role is not my passion that i know. But with that being said i worked really hard to break into FAANG In an EA role, and taking this CoS role moves me away from the tech industry and FAANG
