IMHO, China has no intention of executing a trade deal - continues to stall and now wants the existing tariffs / leverage removed as a condition for negotiation. We should not accommodate this request, as it is simply a stall move. The Chinese are hoping Trump is not reelected, because they know the field of Democrats will just revert back to globalist feel-good policies that allow the Chinese to manipulate currencies, steal IP, dump products, exploit low-wage labour, spy on Americans, and continue with their predatory lending to developing countries. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/china-reiterates-demand-that-us-must-lift-all-tariffs/ar-AADRL83?ocid=spartandhp

Calculated my NW and now i can't sleep
Good, Xi can watch his economy crumble under his watch and his power dissipate via internal strife.
Already underway
Because Trump is actually a shit negotiator
You mean best we’ve had in 100 years
What’s the progress we made before him?
He can exact much suffering on his people, but at some point, they will fight back.
Lol. He has already used all his leverage. Meanwhile USA has the chamber loaded
“I’ve been doing deals...lots of great deals....beautiful deals....wonderful deals...for a long time” — Trump (on the campaign trail) I have my doubts of his success with China.
Trump has already won half the battle by pulling out of the Trans-Pacific Trade Deal. Imposing tariffs and clamping down on China's trade practices is already a win. If we get a "deal," great but if not, we continue down the path we're on. Only US President to have the long-term focus with China, versus short-term, fear-driven goals.
The TPP was meant to contain China by creating a trade alliance that excluded China. Pulling out of it and they starting a trade war with China was a blunder. It would have been much better to isolate China, then start a trade war. But keep saying dumb stuff.
US should have leveraged its power to get fair deals 10-20 years ago. Today China is too big, too huge and getting bigger every year. That was a failure of previous POTUSes (Bush and Obama) when they failed to negotiate fair deals or allowed China to ban US companies like FB or Google. The only way to reason with China is to engage with EU together. But what do you expect when Trump constantly bashes EU and calls them leeches?
So, will you bet your financial future on a Democrat or continue with Trump?
China a paper tiger bro. Their relative power peaked around 2010
Precisely what all US partners have been doing for years: taking advantage and telling lies.
Chinese export to US is 18% of their total export and 10% of their GDP. So far this trade war has been payed by US consumers and US taxpayers paid 32 billions for supporting farmers losses. They can wait a pretty long time
China knows it will win the trade war and that time is on its side
They believe so and if a Democrat wins in 2020, they will be correct.
They will be correct in any case, they can fight this trade war for twenty years if necessary. The US cannot. Regardless of who is President.
