Leaked Chinese documents show how hundreds of thousands of Uighur Muslims are brainwashed in concentration camps

Newly-leaked government documents offer the first official look at the mass brainwashing and imprisonment of the Uighurs, a Muslim ethnic minority group in the western China region of Xinjiang, implemented by the Communist Party.

Among other details, the new data shows how camp officials are to "increase discipline and punishment" and how prisoners must be confined for at least a year and exhibit a change in behavior, language, and beliefs before they can be released.

The new documents contradict the party's claim that the camps were to counteract terrorism and extremism and for Uighurs to voluntarily "re-educate" themselves.

In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party has overseen the mass imprisonment and suppression of an estimated 3 million Uighur Muslims, an ethnic group native to western China whose population the Communist Party views as terrorists.
Nearly 500 prisons and camps have been established in the western China region known as Xinjiang, or East Turkestan as many Uighurs call it.
Former detainees have described experiencing torture, medical experiments, rape, forced abortions, and other horrors in the Xinjiang concentration camps.

No one puts gun on your stupid head forcing you to America. If America is as evil as Chinese communists, why don't millions of people around the world coming to America for last 100+ years? China is not a brutal dictatorship under your fake Dr. Xi. Do you have any shame under the rule of such elementary school fool, living like animals without basic freedom of speech and human dignity. You sound very much Chinese troll in social media

Neither is purely evil or purely good. Both are places where one can grow, learn, do business. I actually grew up in Canada, and I came to the US because of job opportunities, so you can stop assuming things and trying to perform ad hominems.

It doesn't logically follow by the way, that if a country has done immoral acts in it's past, you should not come to do business in the country at present. I evaluate things based on conditions of the present, not on what Mao was like, or what the 1800s south was like.

Colonization was Hitler-level stuff. If Nazis won, the remaining citizens would say the same, that Germany civilized them a century ago, bringing order and prosperity. Germans would have say that for sure, just like you did.

Lol statistically muslims are being killed all over the world instead of doing the killing. But who cares about facts and numbers anyway. And there is plenty of facts backing these allegations as long as you're bit willfully blind.

Yeah, these are terrorists in the making. Sounds like all they really have to do is renounce Islam and eat a couple of pork wontons. Yet somehow this is being turned into such a big deal by the pro Muslim media. 🤦‍♂️

Really easy for a person like you in your Amazon ivory tower to judge and project your own bias onto a country, history, and culture you have little understanding of. So let me be very clear. You don't give a shit about the Chinese, you don't speak the language, and you don't know shit about our people. Go buy a plane ticket, fly to China, and talk with people on the streets and ask if they are "ashamed". But why would you. It's so much easier to sit on your couch and absorb the bias shit being spooned fed into you, and then post on an anonymous platform.

I've been to China at least a dozen times. Great place, great food, met lots of nice people.

There's no excuse for what the communists are doing to the Uighers. You can be proud of China without being proud of the communists.

Pakistani ambassadors visited the schools and has nothing but good things to say. It’s funny that only US et el have negative things to say. Even the OIC is all praises.

All the reports of abuses does not have a shred of concrete evidence. Even the NYT report is full of BS. The documents may be real, but if you can actually real Chinese, everything said in there is normal to every other public education in China.

The two countries I hope get involved in this issue (and make a difference) are the US and the EU. The US and EU will only act if their populations speak up and push for action or advocacy. What action? It's up to you, the people, everything from diplomatic overtures to sanctions or military intervention.
Everyone else is cowed by China and will not speak up.
So if you care, and you pay taxes (even if you are not a citizen), email your representative and/or senator and ask them to take action.
This is not a partisan issue, it's a human rights issue. It takes 10 mins, go to democracy.io to find your representatives

Very little a US issue, and yet we have been getting involved since 1778 when we needed other nations to help us neutralize the British navy.
Isolationism was our policy for a couple of decades. That's not the American way.
