I share the same sentiment. I’m mainland Chinese and I lived in HK for years. My biggest first impression of the HKers was that they were soooo vocal protecting their rights. They are vocal about every small thing. I’ve seen banners against some local government plan to build an extra overpass over a street in their neighborhood. To a person who was raised in mainland, it was a culture shock and I really respect their awareness and the strong will to protect their rights. I participated in every event in the Victoria Park when I was there to honor the people who died in 1989 in Beijing. As a person from Beijing, I feel that HKers are the real Chinese who really care about the Chinese community.
Hong Kong needs to be independent.
Equating China to the CCP regime is stupid and it is what CCP propaganda wants. China is a huge country with thousands of years of written history. PRC is only 70 years old. My prediction is that it will be gone and be one of the shortest regimes in Chinese history
