I'm currently unemployed but I've recently been extended an offer by Audible. I've also been interviewing with a small startup based in the Bay Area and they may extend an offer (not official yet). I'm conflicted by this because there's one option that's a big, relatively stable company (please excuse the PIP stuff for now) that's within commuting distance vs a small, risky company that may have huge potential for career growth where I'd have to move across the country for. I'm a native NYer and I have a comfortable housing situation where I don't pay prime NY rent. I'm thinking about accepting the Audible offer. Base salary might be the same for both companies. What would you guys do or advise if you were in this situation? Current TC: $0k YoE: 2 Location: NYC
Unfortunately early in your career you will have regrets either way. As you progress this happens less as you raise your standards and properly vet positions with what you know you will like. So choose which regret you rather have - the regret of not taking the risk and doing something ballsy, or the regret of trying it then being "behind" your peers etc. who don't seem more skilled then you yet can get interviews and jobs easier because they have a name brand on their resume. It's FOMO either way
What’s the seed start up? DM I can look into it a bit for you. I run Rocketshipjobs.com
What level is this for at Audible ? Thinking of applying there myself so just curios
Gave phone interview 3 weeks ago in audible and didn’t get any feedback yet. Would you please tell how long do they take to provide the feedback after interview?
I was given the onsite invitation just about 2 - 3 days after my phone interview. Something like that has happened to me before and it sucks but I suggest you move on.
Audible is in NJ not nyc
What’s the audible offer?
