I currently have offers from Akuna, IMC, and Optiver, and a verbal offer from Two Sigma for Summer 2022 Software Internships. I'm not so concerned about internship TC (they are all similar enough) as much as I am about the experience I'll get and how it will look on my resume when applying for full-time jobs next year. I also would prefer to work somewhere that I could see myself working full-time (good career prospects, good WLB and culture, etc.) Does anyone have any advice on which I should choose? #software #swe Update: Ended up getting the HRT offer for Algo Software Engineer. Still haven't decided yet but leaning towards HRT.
Is it trading or SWE ? If it is SWE ask for what team it is. Prefer front office related work (low latency system or quantitative stuff) Avoid risk/gui/mid and back office
HRT > TS >= Optiver > IMC >= Akuna. Depends somewhat on role/team. I’d take Optiver over TS if Optiver were in NYC, but NYC >> Chicago when you’re in your 20s imo (but personal preference obviously)
SIG == Optiver?
Optiver has a much higher rating on Blind. I don't know a ton about these companies so not sure what to go off of tbh. But I do prefer NY so that probably makes TS edge Optiver out in most cases
What team?
Do you mind sharing how your interview process at HRT?
How is the tech round at Optiver for an Intern?
Why do many votes for TS, isn’t Optiver the hardest to get in?
LMFAO what ? No.
You mean TS, not JS right? Unfortunately Jane Street is not an option here xD
