Used to be that we got Christmas bonuses back in the day. Even in tech. Now, I give out $50 to every service provider who drops by our home - mail, trash, volunteer security, etc. Meanwhile, the greedy tech companies have switched to holiday layoffs. I can't even imagine how folks at Spotify must be feeling. Instead of enjoying the season, now they have a headache. The 5 months of severance doesn't alleviate mental stress, really. Anyway, culture is changing. Holiday layoffs may be here to stay. Nothing is protected anymore.
I am alongwith 5000+ colleagues had silent layoff this Christmas holidays 🎁🎄🎅 that's the gift we got. Now, Searching for new job
Sorry about that. It’s a really tough market out there. Hope you land something better soon. Good luck!
All impacted employees have been notified already, no? Or do you mean RTO is employed as a scheme to layoff people?
We’re all just a number. No loyalty to the employees. Concerned we’re next.
I was laid off in first week of January 2023. It was a shocking start to the new year.
Atleast you get 5 months severance.
5 months of severance is a fucking eternity. If they can’t find something in 5 months they are likely brain dead
Definitely sucks being laid off, I was laid off in August. But 5 months severance is going to benefit a few that get a job early
Oh man.. they have it well w/ 5 months of severance. Amazon gives you the finger. -- Gobble gobble.
