Cisco ( why so much hate!!)
I'm curious! In almost any post I always see someone bashing cisco? I mean it's a large company with good reputation, may not be paying as much as FAANG but I think it's still decent compared to the rest of the market. Also, they are leaders in their Field!! Please someone let me know why so much hate against them?? #tech #cisco #apple #facebook #amazon #google #netflix
No Tc no impact no innovation
Cisco is such a large company with about 100k employees, there are bound to be good and bad teams!!
I work for Cisco. I used to be at Microsoft. Tbh, both are very similar in the way culture goes. It's not great for young and ambitious tech professionals but great for those who like to put in just about enough efforts. I wouldn't encourage younger techies to get into them to start their careers. As far as hatred goes, Blind puts companies on a pedestal if they pay really well and do not have recurring layoffs for H1B visa stability. Quite simple. Cisco as a hardware networking infra manufacturer is quite ahead of the rest and innovations in networking or Telecom is slow. The pay is in alignment to that.

The second part is why you see so many Indians on H1B. I know of many companies(Cisco, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, PwC, PayPal just to name a few) and managers that run this show
People are bashing amazon and fb. Cisco is irrelevant
There are folks on blind who bash every company. Examples- Intel, Cisco, IBM, Amazon to just name a few. Most of these are complacent companies and dont have a lot of stock appreciation. I’d take it with a grain of salt and not read too much into it
