I heard a 3-4 YOE SWE interviewing at Citadel would get the same offer a new grad with 0 YOE would, 450k-650k. If this is true, does that mean the 3-4 YOE interview bar is the same as the new grad bar?
I want the same weed please.
I cant say for sure but I've often heard the same. Might be slightly higher but to get really high bonuses you supposedly need to "redeem" yourself first (by working at the company) unless you worked in the industry before
New grads get around 300k recurring with a hefty signing bonus. No swe new grad is getting >450k recurring. Also in this market citadel would probably not give 4yoe >500k without significant competing offers

Not at Cit, but if you haven’t been in the industry it’s often common to give Ng offers to “early” experienced hires (because those offers are already super high). Experienced hires switching company (from a competitor) get more even with 3-4 YoE (mostly because you already know stuff that outsiders often have never seen)
