After I finished my Citadel interviews, my recruiter asked me to prepare a list of my top 5 accomplishments, which he said will be sent to Ken and the COO before he can approve an offer. I haven't encountered this at any previous firms, and was wondering whether any Cit/Sec employees know what the rationale behind this is, or whether anyone has any advice about what to keep in mind. Any advice would be appreciated! #citadel #citadelsecurities #tech
Lmao what the hell is this? Sounds like cult shit
It’s bro/ivy league culture
Thats so cringe it’s like being a kindergartner and presenting your accomplishments to your teacher
Reply with “And for that reason I’m out” and ghost the recruiter
Im guessing its mostly to show a short form summary of your experiences so comp teams can quickly review your offer
Interesting, are these career accomplishments or personal ones ?
Interviewing at Citadel is a multi stage process, if you have made it to the Ken stage, congratulations. All the haters have their opinion, here is mine, it is the final stage to getting a job at Citadel. Ken is still very involved with the day to day business. He wants the best and the brightest to work together at his firm. If you cannot write 5 accomplishments, simple bullet items from your work history, for the pay being offered, then it's not the place for you.
Makes sense, that sounds like a good filter. Thanks for the advice!
Position and YOE? Is this standard?
New grad SWE. I got the offer—450k. It seems like this is standard.
That’s a fat offer! Congrats.
