Have offers from both and I'm having trouble deciding where I want to go.
I don't particularly care about intern salary, but if you're interested:
Microsoft - 7366/month + housing
Citadel - 3000/week + housing
So, a few things I'm worried about:
1. Resume brand. If I end up not liking Citadel and want to move to tech, would I be able to get a good amount of responses from faang/unicorns for new grad recruiting? I feel like this wouldn't be a problem if I went to Microsoft.
2. Culture/WLB. I'm young so I don't mind working around ~50 hours/week, but I don't want to be in a super high pressure environment. I heard Citadel is super cutthroat, competitive, and just has a toxic culture in general, which scares me if I were to go full time there. Meanwhile Microsoft seems to be the exact opposite in this regard.
3. Money. Citadel obviously pays way more than Microsoft for both intern and full time, but don't know if I'm willing to forego the latter points for money.
I've never had an internship in any of these industries so I'm honestly not sure what I even want which is why I'm doing internships in the first place. Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Full time Is a more nuanced decision but for an internship itโs an obvious choice
if you wonโt like citadel, youโll get new grad interviews at faag easily
Edit: Iโm joking, but my biased opinion would be take citadel
On a more serious note, worst case you don't get a return offer. No downside taking it as an internship imo and seeing what it's like; you'll _very_ likely be able to get a full time offer from big tech if that's what you want later
