I applied via Citrix website for a software engineer position for "Product Development Group" and did not get any OA and went straight to the interview with a director of software engineering. Is that normal to go straight to director of software engineering or is that a red flag? What should I expect? Edit: interview. Asked about resume, work experience, 2 LC easy (super easy array stuff), questions about Citrix. Waiting to hear back. Gonna accept when/if I hear back with an offer. Edit: 3 days after interview and still shows as “applied”. Edit 4: End of week friday, I got a call from recruiter. I moved onto final rounds, I still have to do 3x 60 minute interviews. 1 System Design, 1 LC type round with two "real world" questions, 1 Tech questions. Edit 5: had interview. Got leetcode questions done without to much trouble. Final question was supposed to be OOD, but instead was challenged to use REST API from scratch on hacker rank. Doubt I got it, will update with final results. Any advice on how to study up for their system design questions? YOE: 1 TC: 79k #engineering #software #swe #citrix #interviewquestions #interview
They have one of the worst recruitment team. I have experienced ghosting by Citrix recruiters on two different occasions.
Is that before or after merger? Either way, I do have a time set (tomorrow). I don’t think I’ll be ghosted.
Citrix is pretty desperate now. Almost the whole company is quitting
So how much should I ask for?

Update 3.
well citrix is pretty desperate. they pay low & you have to live in FLORIDA 🤢
It is a remote position. Pay would be higher than WF. Still very confused about the whole "going straight to engineering director" thing. 100% caught me off guard.
Fort Lauderdale is really nice
