Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
What's going on at ClickUp? Suddenly flooded with a lot of very negative reviews on Glassdoor. #startup #glassdoor TC 240K
Curious as well, had recruiter reach out
The trend is troubling, but you need to read each review individually. Some look legit about the lack of organization and clear direction. One in particular references micro aggressions, so it’s hard to take that specific review seriously.
Lots of negative reviews about leadership and wlb from multiple depts which is troubling to me. Honestly have a lot of questions, but might go through for the competing offer because they pay well
I’m in the same boat. There is something intriguing about the company, but lots of red flags. Seeing that they had a big conference and included celebrities like Tony Hawk seemed like a massive waste of money to stroke egos. I’m personally worried less about most WLB complaints. Some people are too sensitive if they’re told to work instead of working on their personal brand or whatever they are doing.
Also worth noting that most startups actively manage their reviews bc the N is so small. They’ll ask their employees to post positives one, so a rash of negative ones should def be taken seriously
Did anyone interview with them for a FE role? I have a Hiring manager interview coming up and the recruiter said there is a 30 mins coding in that? Not sure what to expect.
Had LC easy. Other 30 was light behavioral/resume
Got an offer from them and have been contemplating it, but these reviews are scary. The weird thing is, no one speaking positively seems to be addressing the negative reviews. Its like night and day experiences...
Congrats on the offer. One thing that stuck out was the obsession on UX but the product just isn’t intuitive or easy to understand. That being said, I was told I did an excellent job on the UX test, but was passed over because I bluntly said I don’t want to spend 80% of my time focused on UX. Given how open they are about stability issues, they should put a bit more focus on the technical side of things.
Keep in mind the reviews on Glassdoor aren't even all of them. I've been following the reviews for a while now and notice that periodically, a few negative ones will be scrubbed.
Where are the bad reviews? I am mostly seeing good, balanced reviews
Lol probably deleted then. There were a bunch from customer support about poor management, wlb and random firings. Some from eng about overwork and constant fires. Apparently they used to do Friday releases but I think they've switched to Tues
I kind of believe Glassdoor when it says employers can't delete reviews, but probably reviews can get pushed to the bottom if they get flagged or others get voted as more helpful. So I just order by latest reviews instead, since things change so quickly in a startup anyways.
See the reviews post 1/31. Seems fishy on the number of reviews that came in and all positive. It’s really easy to create fake Glassdoor accounts.
Look at the history of critical reviews. The positive reviews are mostly if not entirely faked, just like positive reviews of their product and the exposure of their social posts. Just search "Patrick Rockwell ClickUp" and you'll see what I mean. Zeb and his team built multiple fake personas and a fake site to boost positive SEO - https://taskreports.com/. His early wealth was built upon helping people buy followers. (https://www.fastfollowerz.com/) Zeb is a sociopath who will make money at any cost. If you're not at the top at ClickUp and willing to lick Zeb's boots, you're at the bottom. Source: former employee
Hahaha that Patrick Rockwell persona is gold, thanks for sharing. Tbf seems like many businesses got their start with a bit of astroturfing
Don't know who that is. But now I must go and read them. Also, TC or GTFO please.
Oof, edited
