Currently in the process of interviewing for a strategy and ops role. Looking to make a switch into a start up from the finance industry. Any idea of what to expect for TC or how best to attack case study? Current TC: 210k YOE: 4
OP what happened to the offer? Any details how did it go?
Did the case study for the heck of it cause it would be a good exercise for future interviews. Think I did pretty well Submitted and next business day got this response. “Unfortunately, we have decided not to proceed with your candidacy as we felt that the Strategy & Operations Associate role along with the company stage and supporting team right now is not the best fit to help set you up for success if you joined us at this moment. We would love for you to apply again in the future as our company is rapidly changing. “ So seems like they might have pulled the position. Looking at their job posting looks like a decent amount of roles have been delisted from what I remember it looked like a month ago
This company is dumb af and relies on triplebyte to screen ppl lol
I did the assignment which took almost 14 hours of work. They expect you to have all details laid out in a backward working document. Finally after 2 weeks of follow you get a random reject email with useless and generic feedback. Here are my learnings 1. They rely on some random philosophy they have internally about how a PM should be and they assume writing document is the only way 2. Not clear in their expectations 3. They are passively looking for candidates and no urgency in getting back fast. 4. The same role has been open for ages and they are getting the work done by others in name of hiring. Just blankly reject these startups asking to write bug ass documents or assignments and better invest the time in good training.
Learned my lesson! Never wasting time with anything like that
I received the case study too, should I even bother doing it?
Depends on how much you want the role
Yes, they are just fishing and passively looking. The recruiter didn’t even want to talk.
Just wanted to say I also applied to a PM role there, got the same case (which I thought I did well on) and form rejection email. Glad to hear I'm not alone
I got the same response ! Unfortunately, we have decided not to proceed with your candidacy as we felt that the Strategy & Operations Associate role along with the company stage and supporting team right now is not the best fit to help set you up for success if you joined us at this moment. We would love for you to apply again in the future as our company is rapidly changing. “ don’t take an interview with this company . I don’t think they are serious . I see that their positions are open for a long time and they keep o promoting it.
I was contacted by a recruiter to apply and do the case study. Spent a few hours on it and got a plain rejection email the next day. However, the email was from a human, and when I replied to request feedback, they gave relevant notes. My advice is to be very detail oriented and double check your work before submitting!
Wanted to chime in! I applied to a Senior Product role. Got a case. Did it. Spent 6 hours or so. Pretty detailed answer and good analysis work (this is my specialty). Got an auto-reply the next day - "sorry..." blah blah. Asked for feedback - ghost. 👻 My mistake for doing any work for them, and double mistake for not looking for insight from Blind first! I'm pretty chill, but it super pissed me off. Highly recommend to avoid. These guys think writing is the solution for everything in business. LOL 😂 Don't think they will be around in 5 yrs. It's unfortunate but I think general gig platforms will expand into their healthcare niche.
It’s okay mate, we all make mistakes. Waste time with that place
Don’t waste your time with it. It’s useless
Could you share more why it’s useless? Not important towards hiring or do you have any insights towards the company?
