Cloudera or Amazon

Hi guys, I just got two offers from Cloudera and Amazon Lab126 Following are the TCs for both. Experienced 4 years in SDET and 2 years in cloud engineering and DevOps Amazon Lab126: Base salary: 120k annual Sign on Bonus: 53k over two years Stocks worth: 70k Position: QAE L4 Refreshing equity every 2 years Location: Sunnyvale, CA I was interviewed for L5 position but they offered me L4 since i have some learning curve. Cloudera: Base Salary : 150k annual Sign on Bonus: 20k Annual bonus : 10 percent of the salary which is 15k Stocks worth 176k Position: Build and Release Engineer 2 Location: Santa Clara or remote from anywhere in US I am confused between both the offers. I feel Amazon has low balled with the experience I have and has given freshers salary. But Cloudera is new - 13 years old and I haven’t worked in a “new in market company” before so little anxious. Also, i am on h1b and want my green card process to start asap. Both the companies agreed to do that. Any suggestions?

Negotiate when you have counter offer

If i have already signed the offer letter of one of the companies can i go back and do that?

You only want to sign an offer once you’ve negotiated and agreed to the terms, not before. Personally, if someone signs an offer and then comes back to reopen a renegotiation, I’d be tempted to rescind it. It’s risky, but if you’re truly open to both companies, you could go back and say something along the lines of” well, I received another offer after I signed yours since I was in the interview loop. I am still very interested in joining your company, and I recognize that this is coming very late, but I would like to explore an offer match”

Something of note, cloudera is going through a buyout from a PE, not sure how that factors into your stock comp

In a similar situation However, HR said that green card process at Amazon starts from day 1 for L5 and above. For L4 , some approvals are needed. What did you decide?
