Coaching plans at Splunk?
Heard of these? A friend recently received this from their manager and has week over week reviews for the same for the next six weeks. Is this pip in disguise or something else? What must be done so that friend can protect themselves? TIA @splunk
Anything that end in Plan is a PIP. Your friend needs to step it up, update their resume, and hope for the best.
At our company a coaching plan is the “pre-pip”.
This is a pre-PIP. If they can’t succeed, then the official pip will start. But worry not, your friend will be part of splunk layoffs even before that.
When is the splunk layoff being planned?
Happening every 2-3 months since more than a year
Coaching is pre-pip everywhere. At Amazon it prevents team transfer and puts you in LE (no perf increase no refreshers URA if you leave this ineligible for rehire) for the cycle, not sure what happens here and not hoping to find out. Stick it out for vests imo and start studying for lc
Finding another opportunity is usually the best option.
