Can anyone give a general idea on what to expect for a coding interview for a java SDE at The Pokémon Company International? Are they more language or tech stack focused or Google Style DS/Algo type questions? Are they generally particularly hard? Is it a deal breaker if I cannot solve them in the time limit, or does Space-Time Complexity matter much? Any info would be a big help #pokemon #tpci #java #elasticpath #engineering #software #swe #sde #interview
It's more language specific. You won't be dinged much for inefficient solutions but you will be dinged on missing semi colons. Their interviews are weird, it's been a few years since I've interviewed there though. In terms of LC ranking probably easy/mediums
Gotcha, so can I assume they're leetcode-esque questions? Like BFS/DFS, Array/list manipulation and the like? Or is it like, seeing if you know how to use Java generics or inheritance and the like?
More array/matrix based questions. OOP showed up on my pre screen before the loop

Most importantly, when they ask you to find bugs in the sample code, you gotta catch em all. Flying is good against bugs, but there are other options as well.
