I'm considering getting into the world of holding multiple SWE jobs simultaneously ... any tips on how this is done? I assume you don't disclose to the employers that this is the situation. Both are going to be high risk / high reward startups so it doesn't seem tenable to just do one and actually make ends meet. TC at each is ~$150k + lots of likely worthless equity (but who knows). EDIT: I'm more looking for advice from people who already do this rather than reasons from single-job holders not to try this.
How much time you plan to put daily to each company?
30 hours / wk each ballpark it's seeming.
This is not sustainable
TBD.
Contract might specify you cant work at another place without disclosing
Well sure, but I think worst case recourse is being dismissed.
Just get one job for double the pay
I'm not even kidding. Two jobs is so taxing and you could easily put that effort into a solid prep for many of the companies that offer 300k+
I tried to get into Meta last fall and was denied. Think I'm not quite FAANG material but seem to excel in startup chaos.
