Has anyone interviewed with Coinbase? Any tips on how to best prepare? Sounds like they’re fairly similar to FB ones - would practicing for FB style interviews (but using Coinbase product examples) be a good way to prepare?
What position. Did a few rounds for a UI role. They were straight forward, no complex CS stuff. Not sure about final rounds
Was it just js/react questions for the FE position? Do you have any tips for acing the interview? Did you decide not to go forward with them?
A bit of styling, markup and minimal js. Whatever framework you want. Still have to schedule final rounds just haven’t gotten to it yet. When is your interview?
Practicing for Facebook style interviews is definitely the way to go :) You don’t need to be a crypto/finance expert by any means, but I definitely recommend reading up on the industry just to have a baseline understanding while also showing that you have a demonstrated interest in the product/company/mission Also, for Product Sense interviews, DON’T jump to solutions. Really play out your problem solving framework.
Thanks for the insight! Super helpful. The mock interview grind continues haha
Did you have your interview yet?
OP can you share your interview experience?
I did not continue because there was no more front end roles open. Only one and it was for a team I was not interested in.
In general good experience but I did not do final 5hr on-site so can’t speak to that
Did not get the role unfortunately. Questions were similar to FB but a bit more generic (closer to “tell me about a product you’re most proud of building” type questions). Don’t want to share specifics but bummed I didn’t get it - loved everyone I interviewed with. Think I just stuck to a framework too much
How did they communicate the denial? Via email or on a phone call?
Was it for the phone screen or onsite?
First round after screen
How was the phone screen, is it medium to hard LC?
PM, not eng
They'll ask both Execution and Product Sense questions. I thought it was quite similar to Facebook interviews.
Yes fairly similar. Have a general understanding of finance as well (if relevant for the role)
