So I’m headed into final rounds next week the recruiter said they are transparent about salary up front and they typically won’t do a signing bonus to make up for unvested equity of which I have close to $300k in my current role after 2 years. I noticed the recruiter is pretty junior though so wanted to get a second opinion.
This sounds like greed.. why would they pay out your $300k unvested stocks that would be vested out in the next 2 years. If you have a higher TC offer in the next 2 years than what your unvested stocks would make you, then it would be much better to take the offer. The recruiter told me that they do offer some signing bonus if you have unvested stocks that will vest within the next 2 months and are planning to join Coinbase soon. (Basically you’re leaving before it vests)
